Dynamos
2-27-28
This odd little machine is the first commercial electric dynamo ever made for lighting arc lamps.
Elihu Thomson (left), who tested it just fifty years ago this spring, and Charles F. Brush, who invented it, will join in an observance of the anniversary, which will occur at the Franklin Institute, Philadelphia, on April 18. More than 3,5000 engineers and scientists have been invited to the celebration in Philadelphia.
