On test at a General Electric plant, this 30,000-kilowatt turbine-generator is one of four such machines the Company is building for four floating power plants to be completed this year for the Power Division of the War Production Board.

The floating plants will be capable of being towed to many U.S. manufacturing areas on inland waterways to provide an additional or emergency power supply if it is needed.
