R.E. Hellmund, Chief electrical engineer at the Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Company, explains to Agnes Alexander the construction of the warm screen which shields her from the chill of windows and outside walls.

Westinghouse research engineers created this experimental model to stop the loss of bodily heat by radiation.

It is so wired that it maintains normal body temperature, making such loss of heat impossible.
