This Westinghouse workman is trying a 24 inch gauge on a 51-1/2 inch commutator for a 2500 kw. 6 phase, 60 cycle frequency converter.

The 48 inch diameter of the commutator must be accurate in size within two thousandths of an inch.

Westinghouse workmen are accustomed to such close accuracy.

This man has been engaged in such work for more than 31 years with Westinghouse.
