Two ten-foot diameter cooling water pipes are being laid 1900 feet out into the sea at Redondo Beach, California, where the Southern California Edison Company is building a new steam-electric generating station.

Pipes are being laid be sections in trenches on ocean floor, will be buried beneath four feet of sand when joined and covered.
