PIPE-COATING UNIT FOR ELECTRIC HEATING - The virtue of electric heating, that its effect can be uniformly applied over very large surfaces, is shown by this unit, which is used by the Taylor Forge & Pipe Works, Cicero, Ill., in pipe-coating work.

Its capacity is 180 kw. at 440 volts, three-phase. The coating tank it surrounds is 8 1/2 ft. in diameter and 40 ft. long and contains 90 tons of coating material.
