SILENT
SOUND BOX
CD 1963039 E&MP 21.027
Electric Generators
June 9, 1949
This glass-wool-lined, aluminum sound box effectively muffles the sound produced by the 11 kw engine-generator it contains.
Units of the new "silent" set have been scheduled by the Engineer Research and Development Laboratories, Fort Belvoir, Virginia, for service tests in the near future.
The set is virtually inaudible beyond a range of 200-325 feet under quiet conditions.
