Electric Lamps

MAR 1945 26

That's Frances (The Shape) Vorne, picked by Associated Press as Pin-Up-Girl-of-the-Year, modeling the postwar playsuit and the postwar fluorescent electric-light "bulb".

Designed by engineers of Sylvania Electric Products, Inc., it is eight feet long, only an inch in diameter, and several times more efficient than present round incandescent lamps.

This new lighting can be built right into postwar homes, trains, planes and buildings.
