The smallest incandescent lamp ever produced on an assembly line has been placed into production by Sylvania Lighting Products, a division of Sylvania Electric Products Inc.

The lamp is small enough to pass through the eye of a darning needle. Sylvania is a subsidiary of General Telephone & Electronics Corporation.
