The lighting control console shown is part of a new General Electric control equipment which makes a lighting director out of the stage electrician, clothes him in a dress suit and brings him out in front of the curtain where he can see the light effect he creates. The new control involves the use of electron tubes, and governs the lights both on the stage and in the auditorium.
