New "peanut" mercury arc light undergoing tests by Dr. John W. Marden in the research laboratories of the Westinghouse Lamp Company in Bloomfield, New Jersey. It’s narrow arc stream of a brilliancy never before obtained by man in so small a device may eventually make it valuable as a source of light for projection purposes as in search lights, spot lights, and even moving picture machines.
