A young lady at the Westinghouse Lamp Division, Bloomfield, N.J., is here making meter readings of the voltage for completed mercury vapor lamps.
Each lamp is separately tested, and all those which do not come up to specifications are discarded.
Mercury vapor lamps of this type are used to illuminate working areas in defense industrial plants and elsewhere.
This is the type of lamp being used to light working areas in the Douglas Aircraft Company plant in Long Beach, California.
