Westinghouse installation of sodium vapor lamps along Park Avenue at Port Jervis, N.Y. is the first of the new lighting systems having ornamental type posts and globes.
The highway skirts Mount William in the suburbs and provides a new gateway to the Delaware River Valley for traffic from New York and the east.
The non-glare properties of the lamps can be seen in the photograph as well as the clearness with which the highway is lighted.
