Electric Lighting

Miss Dorothy Finch of Schenectady, N.Y. poses here with a new hat designed not for herself but an alley light.
She is seated in a collection of odd shaped reflectors for outdoor lighting displayed in the General Electric Illuminating Laboratory. The bend over her eyes is designed to keep light out of back bedroom windows.
The curious one opposite her elbow is known for obvious reasons as the "Admiral's Hat." It is a form designed for the overhead lighting of two land highways
