Giant electrical machinery in process of assembly in the East Pittsburgh Works of the Westinghouse Electric and Manufacturing Company.
In background is huge frequency changer set built for the Bureau of Power and Light, City of Los Angeles, in order that power received from Boulder Dam at 60 cycle may be converted to 50 cycle and paralleled with an existing 50 cycle system.
