AERIAL ATTACK

Electric Power
JUL 13 1939
One of the first marks enemy bombers would seek in an attack on Washington, D.C. would be this central steam power station of the Potomac Electric Power Company.
Fear of attacks on similar power stations in London and Paris have done much to control the attitude of the democracies in their diplomatic maneuvering during last year.
Development of compact gas turbines as power sources would place the central power stations of cities far below ground free from all aerial attack.
