Modern devices enable electrons to carry sound and light to distant places.

The funnel-shaped tube at is [sic] a cathode-ray tube on which pictures in your television receiver will appear. The microphone picks up words and music.

The tube is the electronic kinescope which picks up pictures in the television camera for transmission to your home.

Doors in the post-war stores will open automatically (picture) as you approach, thanks to General Electric's photoelectric equipment.

Two-way radio patrol cars get advance reports on traffic tie-ups and crimes; the installation is by Westinghouse.
