Inami, a research scientist at Philco Corporation's Aeronutronic Division in Newport Beach, Calif., uses a chronopotentiometric apparatus to obtain experimental data in a study of basic bio-electrochemistry being conducted for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). By passing an electrical current through electrodes, Dr. Inami simulates reactions that would occur in a biochemical fuel cell.
