New fuel cell developed by General Electric features tough solid polymer electrolyte. Use of the new electrolyte has increased fuel cell life expectancy four to five times. Dr. Russell Hodgdon of General Electric's Fuel Cell Laboratory demonstrates toughness of the electrolyte.
