In order to be sure that production testing machines at Goodyear Aircraft Corporation are accurate, the Electronics Reliability and Quality Control Department established this Electronics Standards Lab where all test equipment is checked before being used to check production items.
The equipment in this lab is constantly being checked against National Bureau of Standards equipment in Washington to be sure it is accurate.
The room is kept closed and temperature and humidity control kept constant to prevent dust or environmental factors from distorting measurements.
From left to right the lab's personnel are: W.W. Miller, laboratory supervisor; W.F. Frame, head of electronic quality control test and instrumentation section; August Patterson; W.L. Legg; and R.P. Saunier.
