This photo shows the new RCA cathode-ray oscilloscope (Model WO-79A) with the case removed.

The tube-like retractable light shield, which is pulled forward in this picture, cuts out unwanted light, permitting all details of the wave pattern to stand out distinctly.

The wide frequency range and high gain characteristics of this oscilloscope permit close examination of high-speed transients and pulsed voltages for test analysis.
