Located within the Wyoming section of the Black Hills National Forest and six miles north of the tiny community of Sundance, ADC considers a tour at its 731st Radar Squadron a "remote assignment."

Below the radomes, at the 6600-foot level, the PM-1 nuclear power plant complex is situated on the sloping side of Warren Peak.

Housing and administrative areas are at the foot of the mountain.
