Radar - Equipment

ca. 1945

George Tittel, left and Don Woodward, radar technicians, fit the non-metallic nose over the radar "scanner" of a Northrop Black Widow P-61 night fighter.

Inside the non-metallic nose the scanner whirls and sends out its power impulses which aren't stopped by the plastic walls of the housing.
