North American Aviation-developed Sonic Resonator is used for spot checking of honeycomb panel bond quality on the 727 jetliner production line at the Boeing Company, one of several aerospace industries using the device. Sonic Resonator can also be employed to monitor structural integrity of aircraft while in service.
