GROUND STATIONE&MP129.007 Telemeter August 29, 1952 This neat auto trailer houses the ground station for the piloted
aircraft telemetering system developed by the Douglass Aircraft company
Testing Division. Atop the trailer is the helix antenna which is hand
rotated to keep it facing the airplane during its flight. System is
described as the first successful method of telemetering data from
conventional airborne flight test instruments to the ground.
